Thoracic drainage exercise, simulator

This trainer has been specifically designed for theoretical and anatomical teaching, as well as for teaching the skills required in the treatment of pre-hospital chest trauma and ongoing chest drainage care. The right side of the simulator has two windows that show the anatomical relationships between the skin surface, musculature, ribs and lungs. On the left side there is a simulated tension pneumothorax which can be pressurized via a pump. The simulator also has access for the surgical insertion of chest drains to practise the treatment of pleural effusions by draining fluid from the pleural cavity. The color, volume and viscosity of the fluid are controlled by the instructor. The thoracic drainage manikin is ideal for teaching the concepts and mechanical functioning of closed drainage systems with a water seal, such as systems like the "Pleur-Evac". The simulator is supplied with a carrying case. The scope of delivery also includes 5 replacement inserts for each of the two accesses.
