This self-adhesive wound represents a venous leg ulcer, a substance defect in the tissue of the lower leg as a result of chronic venous insufficiency. The inflammatory phase depicted here shows the most common ulcer disease (60 - 80% of all ulcer diseases) in its untreated form. Fibrin and excess wound exudate must be removed in the course of wound cleansing. This small wound is very suitable for adhering to the ankle or lower leg and adheres independently. A special skin adhesive can be used for longer-term attachment. All materials used are dermatologically safe.
