This model can be used to imitate thigh movements in the hip joint. The thighs can be raised and lowered so that one-sided leg shortening and the resulting pelvic obliquity can be simulated.
The model can be used to show how this is compensated for at the pelvis and spine. The assembly of the chest (thorax) with shoulder girdle allows the combination of the movements of the spine and chest during breathing and respiratory gymnastics to be explained.
