For safety reasons, we recommend using a pyrogen-free cleaning solution, especially when filling humidifier containers for respiratory humidifiers.
This solution consists of sterilized water with an extremely low germ count. We advise against using tap water, as it may contain impurities such as suspended particles that should not be inhaled.
Distilled water is also not recommended. Although it is free of limescale and can be used in batteries, it is not germ-free.
Applications:
- For respiratory humidifiers in oxygen therapy
- For CPAP warm air humidifiers
- For wound cleansing
