Ethyl glucuronide (ETG) is a metabolite of ethyl alcohol that is formed in the body by glucuronidation after exposure to ethanol or by drinking alcohol.
the biomarker is used to test ethanol in alcohol abstinence.In areas where drinking alcohol is prohibited, such as the military, professional monitoring programs (medical, legal, pilots and substitution), schools or alcohol-dependent patients, the test is used for monitoring.
ETG in urine can be measured up to approx. 80 hours after ingestion.
Important: Read the test result 5 minutes after adding the sample material (urine). After more than 10 minutes, the test result can no longer be interpreted!
